Spiritual leader, author, musician, artist, humanitarian and athlete, Sri Chinmoy lived in New York for over forty years, after he came to America from his native India in 1964. He traveled extensively to offer concerts, and met with many world leaders and personalities to share his message of global harmony.
Sri Chinmoy had a special love for Bali, which he visited many times, offering free concerts of meditative music and meeting with Balinese religious, cultural and political leaders. His artwork was exhibited at ARMA and the Bali Museum.
He passed away in October 2007, and a statues of him entitled ‘Dreamer of World Peace’ hve been dedicated in the gardens of the ARMA Museum and at the Bali International Airport arrivals area.
